Dustin McNally

FOR NORTH DAKOTA

He earned bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and International Studies, along with a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of North Dakota. After graduating, he worked as an Energy Engineer at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) in Grand Forks. Today, he serves as Assistant Dean for Student Success in the UND College of Engineering & Mines, where he works directly with students to help them succeed and build their futures here in North Dakota.

His experience in energy policy, workforce development, and higher education gives him a practical, solutions-oriented perspective on the issues facing District 42 and our state.

Dustin’s leadership extends beyond his professional work. An Eagle Scout, he volunteered for years with local Scouting programs and continues to serve on numerous UND committees. He has also advised some of the largest engineering student organizations on campus—mentoring young leaders and helping prepare the next generation of innovators.

Dustin and his long-term partner, Amy, live in Grand Forks. Amy works at Altru Hospital, and together they share their home with their cats, Ole and Lena.
